WithAI Ltd is a solo-led studio exploring ethical, inclusive applications of AI in care and neurodivergent life.
Founded by Kelly Tunley FRSA, it draws on lived experience, formal training in AI governance, and a professional background in legal and commercial roles within global technology companies.
WithAI is non-commercial by design, focused on reflective research, concept development, and systems-aware inquiry.
As part of my role as Expert in Residence at The Alan Turing Institute, I am creating the Digital AI Orrery, an inclusive map of the AI ecosystem designed to support people with learning disabilities and anyone curious about how AI connects across society. This case study will use visual and interactive approaches to help people explore rights, risks, and responsibilities in AI. Updates will follow here and on LinkedIn.
WithAI is developing an early-stage conceptual design model for a Closed Loop AI Sandbox, a testbed design intended to support more relational, inclusive evaluation of AI in care settings. To think about what is before a sandbox?
This approach centres dignity, trust, and lived context, asking not just how AI performs, but how it behaves over time, who it affects, and what might be overlooked.
The Closed Loop Sandbox digital model is an original concept developed by WithAI, a reflective, early-stage model for ethical AI testing in care. The idea has already sparked interest from university researchers and practitioners across care, policy, and technology.
This is a non-commercial, reflective inquiry, a design template, not a software tool or deployable system. It is independent. Not affiliated with any regulatory sandbox or formal assurance programme.

Tech in Care: Risks, Rights & Realities (Conversation Map)
AI and connected devices are reshaping social care but with opportunity comes complexity. Over the past few months, I’ve mapped the 12 interconnected domains that influence whether technology in care is safe, ethical, and effective.
This is not a checklist or a set of instructions. It’s a conversation tool designed to help care leaders, technologists, policymakers, and advocates explore the risks, rights, and realities before, during, and after adopting technology.
